GECF: more than a quarter of 2050 natural gas supply untapped

Yet-to-find (YTF) resources will contribute to around 30% of the total production of natural gas worldwide by 2050, according to Yury Sentyurin, the Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF). According to Sentyurin, around 80% of the natural gas production by mid-century will stem from new projects, highlighting the importance of continued investment in upstream. Senturin made his remarks during the 25 th Oil & Gas of Turkmenistan Conference.

Singapore’s largest waste management company, Sembcorp, is starting a one-year field trial to assess market acceptance, cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction of the Mercedes-Benz Econic waste collection truck with Natural Gas Technology. This marks the entry of the natural gas truck into the Asia market. The M 906 LAG natural gas engine has a displacement of 6.9 The Econic, introduced in 1998, has been available with natural gas drive since 2002.

The 17-mile long waterway located in Turkey supplies Western and Southern Europe with oil from the Caspian Sea Region.

France’s IFPEN studying industrial potential of onshore sources of natural hydrogen

IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN) has become one of the first global research centers actively to investigate onshore natural hydrogen emissions after the discovery of offshore sources of the gas in the 1970s. The H 2 used in industry is mainly produced by converting natural gas (CH 4 ), which has the downside of emitting CO 2.
