Early yesterday morning in Los Angeles when it was around dinner time in Reykjavik, Iceland, Chris Paine appeared via Skype at Iceland’s annual Driving Sustainability conference. It was anxiously awaited and very warmly received; we believe the audience enjoyed the footage immensely.

Today most hydrogen is made from natural gas; there is the potential for very low or zero-carbon hydrogen to be produced at scale, according to Shell. However, Shell does produce hydrogen from electricity on site (via electrolysis) in three of its stations (Santa Monica, CA; White Plains, New York; and Reykjavik, Iceland).
