The 230 megawatt (MW) project will be located in the Antelope Valley area of the Western Mojave Desert, approximately 80 miles north of Los Angeles, California. California releases summary of Advanced Clean Car Rules: GHG, ZEV, LEV III and Clean Fuel Outlets

The Advanced Clean Cars package combines four different regulations: light-duty vehicle greenhouse gas limits; the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate; the next phase of the Low Emission Vehicle (LEV-III) program; and a new Clean Fuels Outlet regulation. Separately, the US DOT and EPA released their joint proposal to set stronger fuel economy and greenhouse gas pollution standards for Model Year 2017-2025 passenger cars and light trucks.

US DOE Awards $300 Million in Clean Cities Grants to Support Alternative Fuels, Vehicles, and Infrastructure Development

The US Department of Transportation (DOT) is awarding $100 million in Economic Recovery Act funding to 43 transit agencies for projects to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from both vehicles and facilities. Selection criteria included a project’s ability to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions and also to provide a return on the investment.
