It has given a £27million grant to Land Rover to help it produce a new hybrid SUV that has been code-named LRX and should help the Jaguar-Land Rover group reach a new audience. It has also outlined targets for the National Grid to increase the amount of electricity that comes from purely renewable sources.

REVA: An Indian company that markets the G-Wiz in the UK. Tata Motors: Most people know Tata Motors because it acquired Jaguar and Land Rover in 2008. Thanks to a $528million Federal loan the company will also begin work on ‘Project NINA’ to design and assemble a second-generation saloon car for sale in 2012.
