FREYR Battery announced the selection and purchase of a site in Coweta County, Georgia for its planned Giga America battery plant. The Ford Motor Company Fund and the Georgia Institute of Technology are partnering on the US’ first conversion of a traditional school bus to a hydraulic hybrid vehicle that runs on recycled biofuel. Atlanta Public Schools (APS) donated the bus for the project.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $1,713,235 to the University of Georgia Research Foundation to retrofit on-highway diesel vehicles in Georgia.
