Considered by many to be the ultimate eco-car, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation finally unveiled the production version of the i-MiEV as part of World Environment Day in Tokyo. The i-MiEV uses a three-way charging system that allows the drive battery to be charged at home or when on the move.

The Mitsubishi i-MiEV continues to take huge strides in advancing the profile of electric cars and having achieved significant success in its native Japan, it now appears destined to conquer Hong Kong. According to reports in the Nikkei , the Hong Kong government will buy 10 i-MiEV electric vehicles from the manufacturer.
