ISEA has held a Tesla raffle for the past nine years in order to raise funds to continue their important work. The Tesla Raffle supports ISEA’s mission, which is to educate people about the many benefits of solar energy, including:
- It is renewable
- It has no emissions that pollute the environment
- It costs less
- It benefits local communities
- It is ideal for community microgrids
Many people have misconceptions about solar energy — they don’t know how they can benefit from it, or how to get started. It’s ISEA’s job to dispel solar myths, answer questions, and provide opportunities for folks to learn more. All those raffles over the years have helped ISEA spread the good news about solar to thousands of people throughout Illinois.

Tickets are $100 each and you can increase your chances of winning by getting 4 tickets for $300. Only 2,500 tickets will be sold between now and April 19, so act now to reserve yours.
You can buy as many tickets as you want — there is no limit on the number of tickets anyone can buy. You don’t need to be present at the drawing to win. The ISEA mission is especially important now, as two new acts have been passed that will accelerate Illinois’ transition to clean energy. First, the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) will help Illinois to lead the nation toward a clean energy future, protect public health from pollution, and provide a just transition to renewables.
Second, the recent passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the single largest investment in climate change action ever, which will invest in domestic energy production and manufacturing and reduce carbon emissions by roughly 40% by 2030.
These new incentives are available to homeowners, community solar developers, and grid operators to install solar systems that will bring clean, non-polluting electricity from the sun to the people of Illinois, and yet many haven’t heard of them or don’t understand how they work. That’s why it’s more important than ever for ISEA to get the word out and to educate people about how affordable solar power is and how it can benefit them.
