Continuous test operation begins for large-format Li-ion energy storage system at power plant

The large-format energy storage system was developed under a research initiative sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

Sanyo To Build 30B Plant For Automotive Li-Ion Batteries

Sanyo Electric Co. will spend about ¥30 billion (US$314 million) to build an automotive lithium-ion battery plant. KAUST uses laser pulses to boost performance of MXene electrode

The researchers made an anode from the laser-scribed material and tested it in a lithium-ion battery over 1000 charge-discharge cycles. With the nanodots in place, the material had a four-fold higher electrical storage capacity than the original MXene and almost reached the theoretical maximum capacity of graphite.
