New insurance from LV= offers peace of mind for electric car owners

LV= General Insurance has just launched a product specifically designed for the electric car user. Having conducted research (asking 2004 UK adults between 26 February to 1 March, 2019) that forecasts more than a quarter (27 per cent) of drivers expect to buy an electric car within the next five years, the bespoke insurance will meet the distinct needs of these owners.

Because the cover is tailored for EVs, there are several benefits that make LV= Electric Car insurance appealing including cover for home charging cables, wall boxes and adaptors, UK-wide recovery for customers who run out of charge to the nearest charging point, and the supply of electric or hybrid courtesy cars.

As part of its commitment to help owners of electric cars, LV= has also partnered with Zap-Map, an interactive map of the 20,000 public charging points across the UK, to help drivers easily locate one closest to them, as well as access to a network of specialist electric car repairers across the country.
