Toyota unveiled the all-new 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid in the US. The 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid, along with the gas model launched in 2021, will be assembled in the US at the new Mazda Toyota Manufacturing plant in Huntsville, Alabama. Arriving in dealerships this June, Corolla Cross Hybrid will have a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $27,970.

In a presentation to investors this week, Kia announced plans to boost its EV sales targets and launch a purpose-built robotaxi. The automaker said it's now targeting sales of 1.6 million EVs annually by 2030—up from the previous 1.2 million annually by 2030 announced just last year. Kia also plans to have 15 EV models in its global lineup.

Lyft is expanding its Green mode, which allows riders to specify an EV or hybrid, to additional cities beginning April 17. "We've seen an explosion of interest in EVs—and once a driver or rider gets into an EV, they're more likely to prefer them moving forward," Paul Augustine, Lyft director of sustainability, said in a company blog post.

It appears that Tesla China has started its second-quarter vehicle delivery push. Similar to previous quarters, the electric vehicle maker seems to be focusing on exporting large batches of vehicles to foreign territories in Q2’s first half. Global plugin vehicle registrations were up 49% in February 2023 compared to February 2022. There were 812,000 registrations, representing 14% share (9.7% BEV share) of the overall auto market. Tesla will recall 422 Model 3 units built from 2018 to 2019 due to a front suspension lateral link fastener that may loosen.
