That analysis covered years 1994 through 2006. The present study examined whether this pattern still holds. The calculations used the monthly road fatalities from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the monthly distances driven by all vehicles from the Federal Highway Administration.

Official EPA fuel economy ratings have been released for the 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid, and they’re among the best in its class. The Escape Hybrid achieves 41 mpg combined (44 mpg city, 37 highway) with front wheel drive, or 40 mpg combined (43 mpg city, 37 mpg highway) with all-wheel drive. In China, Baojun showed the first images of its newest new energy vehicle (NEV). The new model, the name of which will be revealed later, inherits Baojun’s new “interstellar” geometry design language. Its avant-garde split body design and two-tone exterior have a futuristic look intended to appeal to younger consumers. The hui (?) character shape of the front bumper echoes the pattern of radar waves, making the vehicle highly recognizable while hinting at the intelligent technology inside.

As part of its electromobility expansion, the BMW Group is deepening its existing business relationship with Ganfeng Lithium based in Jiangxi (China). The two companies have signed a 5-year (2020 - 2024) supply contract for the lithium needed as a key raw material for battery cells. Ganfeng is the world’s third-largest and China’s largest lithium compounds producer and the world’s largest lithium metals producer in terms of production capacity as of 31 December 2017, according to CRU.

KLM has purchased sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for flights out of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The sustainable fuel is produced by Neste from used cooking oil and will reduce CO 2 emissions by up to 80% compared to fossil kerosene.
