Chevrolet has begun shipping the new 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV and redesigned 2022 Bolt EV to dealers and expects them to arrive on dealer lots soon. ( Earlier post.) Wabtec Corporation announced that its FLXdrive battery-electric locomotive—functioning as one unit in a consist also containing two Tier 4 locomotives—delivered more than an 11% average reduction in fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions for an entire train—the equivalent of more than 6,200 gallons of diesel fuel saved and approximately 69 tons of CO 2 emissions reduced.

Twelve zero-emission Lightning Electric Transit Vans were deployed by Lightning eMotors during the first quarter of this year to serve the City of Porterville, California.

The California Energy Commission (CEC) announced that $17.5 million is available to expand public electric vehicle (EV) charging in 13 rural counties. Incentives available through the new Inland Communities Incentive Project will cover up to 75% of EV charging equipment costs.
