New York to invest $127.7 million Volkswagen settlement in clean vehicles

New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that New York will utilize the $127.7 million received from the 2016 Volkswagen settlement to significantly increase the number of electric vehicles and other clean vehicles in the state. Covered vehicles include new buses, trucks, locomotives, ferries, tug boats, and cargo handling equipment, as well as the availability of electric vehicle charging equipment statewide.

The California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP) released its 2030 vision for California, The California Fuel Cell Revolution. The vision document describes a self-sustaining market in 2030 for fuel cell electric vehicles and renewably hydrogen, and the strategic priorities necessary for realizing it. The CaFCP document envisions 1,000 hydrogen stations enabling upwards of 1,000,000 fuel electric vehicles on California roads in 2030.
