Cummins signs multi-year agreement with Ansys; leveraging SPDM

Cummins has signed a multi-year agreement with digital engineering simulation company Ansys. The collaboration allows Cummins engineers to leverage Ansys’ simulation and data management tools to expedite the design and manufacture of engines with increased thermal efficiency and improved fuel economy. Cummins engineers are using Ansys’ next-generation simulation process and data management (SPDM) platform and physics-based digital twins to speed digital transformation.

Element 1 Corp licenses methanol-based M-Series hydrogen generator technology to RIX Industries

Element 1 Corp (e1) has licensed its proprietary methanol-based M-Series hydrogen generator technology to RIX Industries (RIX). The compact M-Series was designed to displace stored compressed hydrogen to support fuel cell propulsion applications. As the M-Series produces low-pressure hydrogen which is consumed by the fuel cell, almost no hydrogen is actually stored on the vehicle, reducing regulatory hurdles.

Traxen AI-based iQ-Cruise delivers average of 10% fuel savings for heavy trucks

Traxen, a metro Detroit-based technology, launched its intelligent adaptive cruise control system, iQ-Cruise, for traditional and electric commercial vehicles. The system will be available to both commercial vehicle aftermarket and OE customers. Through the use of artificial intelligence (AI), advanced algorithms and sensors, iQ-Cruise can reduce fuel consumption by an average of 10% while improving safety, drivability and profit margins, according to the company.
