Renault Trucks Optifuel Lab 3 aims to reduce heavy-duty diesel truck fuel consumption by 13%

Renault Trucks is continuing its research into improving the energy efficiency of diesel trucks. ( Earlier post.) With Optifuel Lab 3, the laboratory vehicle developed as part of the FALCON collaborative project, the manufacturer aims to reduce fuel consumption by 13% compared with a standard Renault Trucks T and trailer. Optifuel Lab 3 combines technologies relating to aerodynamics, rolling resistance, driver assistance, energy management and the powertrain.
