The Swiss company Climeworks is building the world’s largest direct air capture (DAC) and storage facility for converting atmospheric CO 2 to rock in Iceland. Audi is partnering with the Zurich-based environmental start-up and promoting a future technology with the project. The facility will filter 4,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide from the air and mineralize it underground.

General Motors and Nikola Corporation announced a strategic partnership on Tuesday in which GM will supply hydrogen fuel-cell systems and battery systems to Nikola. Furthermore, GM will build the upcoming Nikola Badger pickup truck starting in 2022. The Badger will be built with GM’s Ultium battery systems, which include cells jointly.

Yann Vincent has been appointed Chief Executive in order to implement and develop it. Ghislain Lescuyer has been appointed Chairman of the Board.
