Arcimoto Announces Manhattan Pilot Program For Last-Mile Delivery Drivers
Arcimoto along with JOCO, the world’s first light EV sharing platform for delivery drivers, have announced a pilot program in Manhattan to field test the Deliverator, a three-wheel EV designed by Arcimoto for local and last-mile delivery.
There are over 50 JOCO Hubs across New York City, Boston, and Chicago operating a fleet of 2,000 e-bikes for delivery gig drivers. The pilot program will allow delivery drivers to experience the Arcimoto Deliverator while also driving a clean vehicle. JOCO co-founder Jonathan Cohen spoke about this great opportunity in the following statement.
“We see this as a great opportunity to offer the latest electric vehicle technology to the business owners and drivers of New York City.
“The Deliverator will offer independent contractors and delivery companies more ways to make money by helping them travel longer distances and carry more in an eco-friendly and cost-efficient manner.”
Arcimoto CEO Mark Frohnmayer also gave a statement noting that with every delivery, JOCO users will be able to save per mile compared with traditional gas-powered vehicles.
“We’re thrilled to partner with JOCO to bring the first Arcimoto Deliverators to New York.
“We believe that with every delivery, JOCO users will enjoy meaningful per-mile savings compared to gas-powered vehicles, rockstar parking and service, and a boost in brand awareness as the zero-emission Deliverator turns heads across Manhattan.”

In the second part, we talked about Arcimoto’s driverless delivery vehicle and its new manufacturing facility, which Arcimoto announced in February.
Mark told me that Arcimoto exists in the gap between a bike and a car and that the company wants to have compelling products that serve a wide range of last-mile or even last-10-miles trips.
