As part of its more than $30-billion investment in electrification through 2025, Ford is exploring all-electric, purpose-built law enforcement vehicles. To demonstrate that a vehicle with an electric powertrain can deliver strong performance and stand up to demanding police duty cycles, the company is submitting an all-electric police pilot vehicle based on the 2021 Mustang Mach-E SUV for testing as part of the Michigan State Police 2022 Model Year Police Evaluation on 18 and 20 September.

Tesla has officially ended its Referral Program, which provides owners with Supercharging miles and the opportunity to earn other rewards. The referral program applied to any vehicle and solar panel purchases and would provide both the customer and Tesla with advantages. Owners were able to work their way up to cool prizes like a next-gen Tesla Roadster, drives in the Tesla Semi, and of course, 1,000 free Supercharging miles when a vehicle was purchased using their referral code.

The problem is that even though they are greener than gas cars, those 4,000 lb tanks all seem like so much more vehicle than I need for my typical urban lifestyle. Tesla Solar customers who were subjected to price hikes will have them reversed, according to new court documents. In April 2021, Matthew Amans stated that after signing a contract with Tesla to install a Solar Roof on his home for around $72,000, he received an email from Tesla stating the price of the installation would increase. Upon examining his account, Amans saw a price of $146,462.22, more than double what was initially agreed upon.
