Linear Labs has raised an additional $6 million in funding to further develop manufacturing capabilities and grow its employee base. The new capital comes shortly after Linear Labs’ $68.9 million partnership with the City of Fort Worth, Texas, was announced, which includes an incentive package involving Linear Labs’ plans to develop an advanced manufacturing facility.

Lucid has announced a new $77,400 entry price for its Air electric sedan, and opened reservations for the entire model lineup. First U.S. deliveries of the 2021 Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid have been delayed to 2021, due partly to the European recall of the Ford plug-in hybrid over fire concerns, according to a Bloomberg report. The Escape Plug-In Hybrid was originally due this summer and was officially rated for 37 all-electric miles and, in hybrid driving, 41 mpg.

Electrify America is investing $3 million to provide education and awareness programs for low-income and disadvantaged communities throughout California on the benefits of driving zero emission vehicles (ZEVs) and available cash incentives. Wright Electric announced that the US Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) has selected Wright for a contract to support the development of innovative, lightweight, and ultra-efficient electric propulsion motors, drives, and associated thermal management systems for commercial electric aircraft.
