Hey Exxon! Hey Chevron! My Friends At the EPA Are Declaring What You Do Dangerous & You Will Pay. Pack Up Losers, It’s Time For You to Go!

How do you like me now South Bay spewers of greenhouse gases?  Yeah, I’m talking to you Exxon/Mobil mercenaries who work at the Torrance refinery and you amoral assassins who get your blood money from the Chevron refinery in El Segundo.

I told you there was a new sheriff in town and that your days in my community were numbered.  Did you think I was kidding?

Now the EPA is about to smack both of you upside the head – and these are only the opening smacks you both have coming.  Good thing you wear those hardhats.  Maybe you should have spread some of your slush fund bribe money around to the schools and libraries in Washington DC where the EPA holds it meetings instead of trying to buy your love here from desperate parents and city councils in the South Bay.             I just love the headline in today’s Wall Street Journal:

“Business Fumes Over EPA Rule – Carbon Dioxide Emissions to Face Curbs”

Get it?  They’re “fuming” just like the deadly CO2 fumes they’re spewing into the atmosphere as you read these very words.  That Rupert Murdick is one funny Aussie, ain’t he?

What it should have said is:

“Polluters & Global Warmers Caught In The Act and Stopped – New Clean, Green, Sustainable Economy Begins Booming!”

Because what’s bad news for the legacy “Burn To Earn” industries who are responsible for overheating our planet is exactly the great news that our new, renewable and sustainable business model needs to take off like a rocket and change our world for the better economically and environmentally.  That’s the real news here.

And I’m especially happy and excited about how much this pisses off the worst of bad guys operating in the USA today.

According the the WSJ,

“Many business groups are opposed to EPA efforts to curb a gas as ubiquitous as carbon dioxide.”

Those would be the very businesses who are doing the most damage and profiting the most at the very same time.

Those would be the very businesses that liked things so much better back in the day when the twin poster boys for greenhouse gases were running the show and kissing the asses of anyone who controlled the crude they craved.  You know, before they crashed the economy and screwed everything up.

One of the other big business groups the WSJ is talking about is the motley group of US Senators and US Congress members who got their money directly from the oil, gas and coal industry.  These fossil fools have gotten paid for their votes for as long as they’ve been in office and they’re fuming and screaming over the end of their gravy train.

Senator Inhofe, Congressman Sensenbrenner and the other carbon collaborators in the pocket of the fossil fuel industry are furious about this new EPA ruling coming down.  You can already script their full bore whack job hissy fit that the mainstream media will treat like a legitimate alternative viewpoint – instead of the cartoon character scene it actually is.

The US Chamber of Commerce is another pissed off business group.  They went “all in” with the fossil fuel industry and are one of the most shameless carbon collaborators in the United States.  They have no interest in a new, clean, green economy and they have no stake in a future that sees us lowering emissions.  They have already sold out Generation X, Y and the Millenniums and have placed their bets on being long dead and buried themselves before the shit hits the fan.

But they’ve already lost that bet, just as they’ve pissed away their own future with anyone under 40.  You can stick a fork in the Chamber now because they are done.

For those of you who aren’t boarding the ClueTrain on this issue, just connect the dots between this strategic move on the part of the Obama administration and the opening of the Copenhagen Climate Talks.

While the main stream media is being propped up on its last legs by huge advertising money flowing from the oil, gas and coal industry – and as a result mostly acting like the in-house marketing and PR department for those global warmers – the rest of us are moving on and acting to save ourselves.

We’re going to end the use of coal in this country in the next ten years and we’re going to phase out the use of oil for transportation.  We’re going to be plugging in our next cars and generating our own electricity from solar, wind and geothermal.  And we’re going to make the rest of the USA as energy efficient as California has been.

We’re going to blow up the suicidal and totally corrupt 20th century carbon-based economy that has already crashed and burned and we’re going to build a new sustainable, clean, green economy in its place that will serve us much better. The most exciting period in our nation’s  history is about to begin, a Renewable Renaissance that will be the legacy of those of us who still believe in truth, justice and the American way.

I said it before to you, Exxon and I’m saying it to you now, Chevron.  It’s time for you to pack up all your dirty, polluting equipment and get out of town.  And it’s’ time for you to pay for the damage you’ve done and are still doing.

And if you think I’m the only one who loves this new EPA finding, check out what my Congresswoman Jane Harman had to say about it:

HARMAN LAUDS EPA FINDING ON HARMFUL EFFECTS OF GREENHOUSE GASES

~ Lawmaker says official finding was “long overdue”~

Washington, DC Congresswoman Jane Harman (D-Venice) released the following statement today as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) concluded that greenhouse gases “threaten the public health and welfare of the American people.”  The finding comes as 192 nations gather in Copenhagen, Denmark for a climate summit this week.

“This was long overdue.  The effects of climate change are self-evident and manmade greenhouse gases are a major contributor,” said Harman. “Todays finding sets the stage for much-needed emissions standards economy-wide.  I am also hopeful the EPAs finding will bolster talks at the climate summit in Copenhagen this week.”

“Everyone including the U.S. could take a tip from California, which has been at the forefront of environmental leadership for decades,” said Harman.

  1. Yep, there’s a new, sweeter, greener wind blowing our way. Did you see Michael Hiltzik’s article about upcoming plug ins in yesterday’s L.A. Times?

Selling a few of those $88,000 plug-in Karmas from Irvine-based Fisker automotive will revitalize the auto industry in the southland!
