Power management company Eaton is addressing increasing demand for high-voltage electrified vehicle technologies with the creation of its new eMobility business. Eaton also has high-voltage, fast-acting fuses in nearly 50% of global electrified cars, and power electronics on a leading European battery-electric vehicle platform.

Eaton Corporation has selected A123 Systems to supply battery systems for production of a hybrid power system to be installed on a Ford F550-based Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). A123 Systems has been developing the battery system for much of 2010 with Eaton. Earlier post.).

LG Chem has entered a four-year supply deal to provide lithium ion batteries to Eaton Corp. for use in hybrid commercial vehicles. its US unit based in Troy, Michigan, in anticipation of increasing batteries supply to Eaton, the company said in a statement.
