Nonetheless, I do agree that it wastes of energy, reduces range and should NOT be mandatory. An (expected) high price tag. The reason theyre starting with high priced sports cars is because aiming at that market is the easiest way for them to fund R&D and scale up production so they can make smaller more practical EVs for the masses. Nuclear waste is a problem much harder to solve than CO2, and dams have quite an impact in the environment. Simply, those are not the main concern for campaigners right now.

So much more convenient than having to take time out of my day and go out of my way (wasting more energy) to get a charge elsewhere or do battery swaps.
