ECOtality Wins $2.87M in Bay Area contracts, expands EV Project to the San Francisco Bay Area

ECOtality was awarded a $2.87-million contract from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (Air District) to become the Project Manager of the organization’s Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) Deployment Program. Through this program, ECOtality will oversee the installation of 2,750 home charging stations and 30 DC fast charging stations throughout the Bay Area. The Blink DC Fast Charger is capable of providing a full charge in under 30 minutes.

ABB invests $10M in ECOtality

ABB, a global provider of power and automation technologies, has made a $10-million equity investment in ECOtality, Inc. Net proceeds of the $10 million equity investment from ABB will be utilized by ECOtality as working capital to support the continuing requirements of the EV Project and will provide the Company with necessary funding to meet its anticipated expansion as a leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
