Electric vehicle sales in the US continue to see a significant uptick, with EV (BEV and PHEV) share of new light passenger vehicles (LPVs) reaching 7.05% in Q2 of 2022. And in the chart below you can see that the quarter over quarter increase in sales share for both BEVs and PHEVs was roughly 13%. This is a 0.81

While EV registrations overall increased 59% in Q1 2021 versus Q1 2020, PHEV registrations more than doubled with an increase of 103.7%. EV registrations overall (BEV and PHEV) in Q1 2021 reached 125,513, a 65% increase over the 76,072 combined registrations in Q1 2020. See sample screenshots below.

2021 was a huge year for overall electric vehicle sales in the US, but only California (13.4%) and the District of Columbia (11.2%) had a combined BEV and PHEV sales share of at least 10%. in 2021, while the median across the 50 states and the District of Columbia was 9.2% BEV And PHEV Sales Share.
