GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz, at a conference of the Society of Automotive Analysts on the eve of the North American International Auto Show, announced that GM will produce the Cadillac Converj extended-range electric vehicle. Chevrolet unveiled the second-generation Volt extended range EV at the North American International Auto Show. The new propulsion system will offer a General Motors’-estimated total driving range of some 420 miles and with regular charging, owners are expected to travel more than 1,000 miles on average between gas fill-ups.
