US electric vehicle maker, Miles Electric Vehicles has filed for bankruptcy in Delaware, court documents show. Founded in 2004, by entrepreneur Miles Rubin, the vehicle manufacturer designed a range of low-speed electric passenger cars and vans designed for off-highway use such as around universit[.].

With a usable battery capacity of 67 kWh, E-Transit will deliver an estimated range of 126 miles in the low-roof cargo van variant. The E-Transit has a starting MSRP of less than $45,000 for US fleet customers, and comes backed with an eight-year, 100,000-mile electric vehicle component warranty.
