Ford introduced the new 2019 Transit Connect Cargo Van. The best-selling compact cargo van in the US, Ford Transit Connect has a 46% market share. More than 300,000 Transit Connect vehicles have been sold since 2009 when Ford created the segment in the United States. Of those, 97% are still on the road.

Azure Dynamics Corporation announced 27 Ford Transit Connect Electric van sales, including a five-unit sale to returning customer FedEx Express, a four-unit sale to the City of Toronto, a three-unit sale to DTE Energy, one of Michigan’s largest energy suppliers, and 15 unit sales to various Ford commercial truck dealers.

Ford Motor Company and Azure Dynamics Corporation have signed a collaborative agreement to begin delivering a pure battery electric version of the Ford Transit Connect van to customers in Europe beginning in late summer 2011. Repair works under the Ford warranty will be provided by Ford dealers.

Ford Motor Company sales rose 5% in total US sales in April with 222,498 vehicles sold. Retail sales grew 7%, while fleet sales were up 1%—the company’s best April retail sales in nine years. Ford brand SUVs had a record-setting month—the company’s best April ever—with sales of 62,730 vehicles.
