The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers (Auto Alliance) is strongly supporting the passage of Maryland’s SB 1234 , a bill that would require the State of Maryland to purchase zero emission vehicles (ZEVs) for state fleets. The bill also includes a reporting requirement for State agencies that purchase vehicles.

Well, add one more to the list of states where Tesla Motors can legally sell its electric cars--and do so without having to use franchised dealers. The Maryland General Assembly has reversed a ban on direct sales by Tesla, which displays its cars in Tesla Store and "gallery" facilities it operates.

As of June 15, 2022, Ford will no longer offer the opportunity to purchase its three all-electric vehicles, the F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E, and E-Transit Van, for new leases. Ford informed dealers in a letter that it was discontinuing the end-of-lease purchase option for the E-Transit van, Mustang Mach-E, and F-150 Lightning.
