The batteries of Vito E-CELL vans are recharged at these locations outside of operating hours. The electric engine, power electronics, converter and AC/DC charger are housed beneath the hood. In 2011, Mercedes-Benz manufactured some 400 Vito E-CELL vans in its Vitoria plant in the Basque region in Spain. Charging technology.

A Semikron SKAI inverter converts DC charge from the battery to AC charge to drive the HTM 3500 electric motor. When the battery is depleted at the end of a complete duty cycle, it can be recharged at the depot overnight via a CSS DC charging point. The Jewel E is set to be manufactured in 2022 at an all-new facility in Norfolk.

Eaton is introducing a full family of products for each of the three product market segments: Level 1 (120Vac), Level 2 (240Vac) and DC Quick Charge (480V). Eaton’s quick charger can recharge the iMiEV to 80% of battery capacity in 25 minutes. Future control console models can include networking options and fee-based units.

The Fiat comes with an 11kW on-board AC charger and can accept up to 85kW from a DC fast charger. Fiat’s three-year-old 500e will go on sale in Australia from around August, 2023.

Unlike the four models the Spain-based and VW Group-owned brand already offers, this one will be manufactured in China. The 77kWh battery pack in both versions will be able to accept up to 135kW from a suitably powerful DC fast charger. The factory in Anhui will begin production of the Tavascan next year.
