A key element of this change is the conversion of production micro-grids from an alternating current (AC) to a direct current (DC) architecture—“Industrial Smart DC Grids”. In Jawor (Poland), a new CO 2 -neutral engine plant is being built.

It will be the first purely electrically powered production vehicle from the Kecskemét plant in Hungary. For AC and DC charging, the EQB is equipped as standard in Europe and the USA with a CCS (Combined Charging Systems) connector in the right-hand side panel. The vehicles for China are produced in Beijing.

Audi farms dual motors for the Q6 E-Tron in Hungary, rated at 140 kw in front and 250 kw in the rear. The Q6 E-Tron will accept up to 270 kw of DC fast-charging and will be able to top off its battery pack from 10-80% in as little as 21 minutes.
