Mercedes introducing EQB compact electric SUV in Shanghai

Following the EQA 250 (combined electrical consumption: 15.7 kWh/100 km) it is the second fully electric compact car from Mercedes-EQ. After Europe, the international version of the EQB, produced in Kecskemét, Hungary, will be launched at the end of the year, followed by the US market launch in 2022.

New plants in Germany and Europe are planned with a CO 2 -neutral energy supply from the start: Already, the entire electricity demand of the smart plant in Hambach (France) is obtained from renewable energy sources. In Kecskemét (Hungary), a second plant under construction will be CO 2 -neutral. The plant will start operating in 2019.
