The Hero Vida fast charging network is expanding in India

Around 300 fast chargers were installed recently in Delhi, Jaipur, and Bangalore.

Hero MotoCorp’s electric two-wheeler brand Vida, which launched its V1 electric scooter last year, has begun rolling out fast-charging networks in cities where electric scooters are currently sold.

The company is initially building electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Delhi, Jaipur, and Bangalore.

Vida has installed around 300 fast-charging stations at 50 “key locations” in Delhi, Bangalore, and Jaipur. The brand has launched sales in the three cities above, with a nationwide charging network ensuring charging convenience for customers.

Dr. Swadesh Srivastava, Head of the Emerging Mobility Business Unit (EMBU) at Hero MotoCorp, said: In keeping with the brand’s promise to build a ‘carefree EV ecosystem’, we ensure that your transition to electric vehicles is smooth and hassle-free. The world of VIDA has been developed with a technology-first philosophy, with sustainability at its core. We are confident that your experience with the Vida ecosystem, including product services and charging infrastructure, will meet global standards. We are currently planning to expand the ecosystem to other cities. ”

Fast chargers can be found via the My Vida app and the process of availability, booking and payment is done via the app itself. It can be charged at a speed of 1.2 km per minute when plugged into a fast charger. Each charging station is equipped with DC and AC charging sockets.

The Vida V1 e-scooter can also be charged via Ather’s widely used Grid fast charging network. Because they both use the same open source connector design. It was recently reported that Vida would open a showroom in Mumbai within the next six months.

The Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro are the company’s first electronic products. The electric scooter features features such as cruise control, boost mode, two-way throttle, keyless entry, OTA updates, 7 inch TFT screen and custom modes with over 100 combinations. Customers can test drive the Vida V1 at the company’s experience centers in Bangalore and Jaipur, and a pop-up store will open in Delhi.

Additionally, Vida offers multiple financing options, including easy EMI, low interest rates, and a 70% repurchase option for 16-18 months of ownership and on-site repair. Potential customers can also test drive the vehicle for up to three days before booking.
