The cost of the electric vehicles is more due to the cost of the battery that counts 40% of the electric bus. The average cost of the lithium-ion battery packs for large orders has fallen from about $600 a kilowatt-hour in 2015 to $150 a kilowatt-hour in 2020 according to the report of the ReportLinker.

EERC envisions that such a process would eliminate the prohibitive infrastructure costs of nationwide hydrogen transportation and storage so that hydrogen refueling could be accessible and affordable. The EERC is currently seeking federal co-funding for that project.

The goal is to convert corporate fleet owners to electric fleets, so owners reap both the economic benefits of lower cost of ownership as well as reducing harmful carbon emissions.

The cost of a fill up is approximately $2.00. Nègre has signed deals to bring its design to 12 more countries, including Germany, Israel and South Africa. They join Canadian companies Veridian Corporation and Feel Good Cars as Plug-In Partners. The CityCat model will clock out at 68 mph with a driving range of 125 miles.

It is significantly more cost effective to install charge points in new builds. Drive Electric analysis suggests that an EV charger installed in a new home will add an approximate cost of $2,000.

Driving range will no longer be an obstacle, because customers will be able to plug their cars into charging units in any of the 500,000 charging spots in Israel. Annual use of an EV should be less than the average cost of $8,000 per year for using a gasoline in many countries including the USA.
