Anand Mahindra Hands Over The Special Edition XUV 400 To The Highest Bidder

Mahindra XUV 400 electric SUV was launched in the Indian market earlier at an introductory price tag of Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The company also announced the bidding of the Exclusive Edition of the XUV400 to raise money for charity. Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group announced that the bidding on the car has surpassed Rs 1 crore. 

This XUV400 exclusive edition designed by Mahindra’s Chief Design Officer Pratap Bose and fashion designer Rimzim Dadu collaboratively was awarded to the highest bidder Karunakar Kundavaram Reddy from Hyderabad made the winning bid of Rs. 1 crore 75 thousand and Mr. Anand Mahindra himself handed over the keys to the winner personally.

The winner will also receive an exclusive pass to India’s inaugural round of the all-electric FIA Formula E championship on February 11, 2023, in Hyderabad.

Mahindra’s Chief Design Officer Pratap Bose and fashion designer Rimzim Dadu, a fashion designer, worked together to design this exclusive edition.

Features of XUV 400  

The exclusive edition XUV 400 is available in the exterior colour of Rimzim Dadu Dazzle blue with copper branding elements, a dual-tone copper roof, and piano black alloy wheels. It has the logo Rimzim Dadu x Bose inside and outside the SUV.

The winner will also receive accessories such as a premium everyday duffel bag, seat coverings, keyholders, and carry-on pouches. The cabin seats are leatherette with blue embroidery. The vehicle has the same 145-horsepower electric motor used in the conventional XUV 400, powered by a 39.4 kWh battery pack.

The winner has a choice to donate his /her bid to a non-profit organization or the winners of the Mahindra Rise Sustainability Champion Awards.

Future of EV

Mahindra is ready to present its next generation of electric vehicles in India. Mahindra unveiled its born electric SUV range for the first time at Mahindra Advanced Design Europe in the UK and then at the Mahindra EV Fashion Festival in Hyderabad on February 10, 2023.

The new electric SUVs are INGLO platform based, which is a variation of the MEB design used by the VW Group. It supports single and multiple motor configurations as well as battery packs with a capacity of 60 kWh to 80 kWh.

Future Mahindra EV models will fall under the BE and XUV.e sub brands. The BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09 are part of the BE line, whereas the XUV.e range consists of the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9.
