ALTe already has Gen 1 proof-of-concept systems running in a Crown Vic taxi equipped with a 20 kWh Li-ion battery pack. In the Crown Victoria, the proof of concept powertrain conversion systems improve fuel economy from 80%-200% from the base 4.6L 20 kWh pack in the proof-of-concept Crown Vic conversion.

These specifications sound strikingly similar to the electric drive and energy storage system found in the very impressive AC Propulsion eBox electric vehicles which also sport a 5,088 lithium-ion cell battery with 35kWhrs of capacity.
