Moscow launches its 500th electric bus; largest electric bus fleet in Europe

For comparison—in October, there were 300 electric buses in London, 259 in Paris, 200 in Berlin and 164 in Amsterdam, according to Mosgortrans, the major bus operator of the city. This year will see another 300 electric buses put into service, of which more than 200 have already come on line.

Exposure to air pollution on city streets is enough to counter the beneficial health effects of exercise in adults over 60, according to new research led by Imperial College London and Duke University. By comparison, a walk along Oxford Street led to only a small increase in lung capacity in participants, far lower than recorded in the park.
