Ford Motor Company and Microsoft Corp. announced at the New York International Auto Show that they are teaming up to implement the Microsoft Hohm energy management application for Ford’s electric vehicles. Ford is the first automaker to announce the planned use of Hohm, starting with the Focus Electric next year. Hohm is also intended to help utility companies manage the added demands of electric vehicles on the electric grid.
