DOT to award $42M to New York, Wyoming and Tampa to pilot connected vehicle technologies

The US Department of Transportation (DOT) will award up to $42 million to New York City, Wyoming, and Tampa, FL will receive up to $42 million to pilot next-generation technology in infrastructure and in vehicles to share and communicate anonymous information with each other and their surroundings in real time, reducing congestion and greenhouse gas emissions, and cutting the unimpaired vehicle crash rate by 80%.

GE and CPECC Sign Agreements with USTDA to Advance Commercial Scale IGCC in China

GE and China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation (CPECC) have signed agreements with the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) nuder the terms of which USTDA will fund a feasibility study that would support the advancement of commercial scale integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) facilities in China based on GE-designed IGCC technology. and the Polk Tampa Electric IGCC plant in Florida that helped demonstrate the commercial feasibility of IGCC.
