Day Air Ballpark on day of Drive Electric Dayton event. Sadly, when I organized our first Trotwood, Ohio event in September of 2021, I discovered my premise was flawed. My love for EVs had inspired me to create a decent event, but the event did not inspire enough “suitors” for these vehicles to take us much closer to saving the world.

Now I am here, at the event's media center, typing up this post while waiting for the rain to stop so the racing can start. Yesterday's Xfinity race was stopped for lightning and should be resumed today -- and hopefully, the main event, the Cup Series race, will be able to go forward. The rain is supposed to clear in the afternoon.

This was their second annual holiday drive in partnership with the Palo Alto Fire and Police Departments, which closed off the street for the event. In Ohio, the Tesla Owners Club of Columbus raised funds to support Nationwide Children’s Hospital, which has helped some of its club members and the community.
