ABB will provide two fast-chargers for Scania electric buses in Östersund, Sweden. Östersund was presented with the European Mobility Week Award in 2015 in recognition of the council’s work providing sustainable transport options in the city. This project with Scania and ABB will extend their work in sustainable transport.

Volvo Group revealed what it said was the world’s first vehicle made of fossil-free steel from SSAB ( earlier post )—made in Volvo Construction Equipment’s facility in Braås, Sweden. Together, we will continue reducing climate impact all the way to the end customer while ensuring that our customers get high-quality steel.

Since then, hydrogen buses and trolleybuses produced by Solaris have been sold to operators in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Latvia. Solaris unveiled its first buses to use hydrogen in 2014. In the weeks to come, more European towns and cities wish to test Solaris Urbino hydrogen buses.

Preem has chosen Haldor Topsoe’s HydroFlex renewable fuel hydrotreating technology to produce clean renewable diesel and jet fuel at its Gothenburg refinery in Sweden. Preem wants to continue the transformation towards a sustainable society and increase the production of renewable fuels in Sweden.
