Van Hool, an independent Belgian manufacturer of buses, coaches and industrial vehicles, has shipped the first CX45E, a 100% battery electric coach, to the US. The 100% electrically driven vehicle has a range of up to 500 km (310 miles), depending on the climate conditions and the route’s topography.

The design of the new A range is characterized by its aerodynamic shape at the front.

The Van Hool factory in Macedonia is building 900 buses this year; the factory is designed for an annual capacity of 1,000 buses. In its ‘Aiming for Zero’ objective, VDL Bus&Coach is building a new, climate-neutral factory in Roeselare (Belgium), where the first buses will be built from the end of 2021 to the beginning of 2022.
