In August I covered the Plug-In 2009 Conference in Long Beach for Creative Greenius and provided exclusive photos and commentary. On the final night of the conference, August 13, a public night was held featuring a forum with Bill Nye the Science Guy, Chelsea Sexton and “Who Killed the Electric Car&# Director, Chris Paine.

The concept behind V2G had gained traction in the late 1990s after California’s landmark zero-emission-vehicle (ZEV) mandate went into effect and compelled automakers to commercialize electric cars. For the utilities, it promised an economical way of meeting rising demand for electricity.

I have seen the future my friends and it looks exactly like a 76 degree January day filled with beautiful people driving gorgeous plug-in hybrid and plug-in electric cars. It looks like Mrs Greenius has found her next car! She lives in a solar powered house and drives an electric car. It is already here today.
