“Electric cars will not save the climate. In states (or countries ) with a high proportion of coal-generated electricity, the miles needed to break-even climb more. In Poland and China, for example, an EV would need to be driven 78,700 miles to break-even. This is not to imply in any way that electric vehicles are worthless.
