New data from the Air Quality Life Index (AQLI), which converts particulate air pollution into its impact on life expectancy, shows that particulate pollution was the greatest risk to human health before COVID-19. The good news is that there is now a track record of countries deciding to take action and succeeding in cleaning the air.

Enterprising hunters in Afghanistan and Pakistan were the possible cause for a change in migration routes. Unlike Bharatpur’s marriage palaces, this was actually the genuine stuff, an old palace converted into a hotel. The wind gods from Pakistan were doing their best to slow us down.
