Pennsylvania DEP awards nearly $517,000 in clean diesel grants

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has designated the five-county Philadelphia region of Bucks, Delaware, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties as non-attainment for ozone and fine particulate matter air quality standards. Berks, Lehigh and Northampton counties recently achieved attainment status for federal ozone standards.

Arab city continues green car movement

Now, the Sharjah Public Transport Corporation has taken the decision to introduce gas powered taxi and bus fleets. Now it is going to convert all 5,065 taxis to run on natural gas by the end of the year - since last year Dubai has been replacing its existing taxi fleets with eco-friendly cars that run on hybrid engines.
