These charts show the sales performance of BEV models in different price ranges in June.

In China, when people talk about new energy vehicles (NEVs), they include both battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).

Many readers want to know what the BEV market landscape looks like in China, given that they are the ones that will ultimately dominate the new energy vehicle market. The latest set of data answers that question.

Weibo car blogger @常岩CY today shared a ranking of BEV sales in China in June by price ranges, showing how models with different positioning performed in their respective markets.

The numbers reflect the strong sales of (NASDAQ: TSLA) and (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866, SGX: Nio), as well as the German luxury carmaker's lag in this space.

The starting prices in these charts are the official guide prices for the models in June, and the source of the data is shown as "publicly available," although CnEVPost found that much of the data is consistent with that published by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

The CPCA publishes the sales of some of the best-selling NEVs every month, but more detailed data is only available for paid users.

Below is a chart created by CnEVPost based on the data in the chart posted by the blogger.
