Changan Ford Sees 128% Sales Surge in January

Changan Ford Sales Company reported January sales of 30,759 Ford brand passenger vehicles in China, a 128% increase compared to the same period last year, marking its twelfth consecutive month of year-on-year growth.

Strong sales from the Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus continued to drive monthly sales. Ford Focus, up 78% from the same period last year, posted sales of 17,151 units in January—an all time monthly record since its launch. The Ford Focus confirmed its position as one of the best-sellers in China’s mid-size car segment by achieving the milestone of 450,000 total unit sales.

The continued popularity of Ford Fiesta among young Chinese drivers helped drive sales of 7,147 units in January, its best monthly sales performance since being launched in China. Fiesta has fast become one of the most popular models in China’s small-car market.

Mondeo-Zhisheng and S-MAX have also achieved continued sales growth, with year-on-year increases of 67.4% and 62.9%, respectively.

Changan Ford’s new warranty program covers the entire Ford product lineup with a 3-year/100,000 km warranty service.
