With DC fast charging of up to 270 kW, the Macan EV can charge from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes. The Macan EV is also the first existing Porsche model to receive an electric upgrade.

The power electronics, which convert the direct current (DC) into three-phase alternating current (AC) which is used to drive the motor, are located in the center tunnel. The power electronics also integrate a DC/DC converter, which converts energy from the high-voltage battery to 12 volts to supply the 12-volt electrical system.
