BRANTFORD, Ont. — Ontario Premier Doug Ford says Mitsui Top-tec is making an investment greater than $100 million to extend production operations in southwestern Ontario that form a constituent wanted for electrical cars.
Ford says the funding into the plant in Branftord, Ont., might be impaired to create motor cores, a work impaired to form the motor that powers electrical cars.
Mitsui Top-tec largest shoppers are Honda, Toyota and Nissan.
Ford says the corporate will viewable a fresh facility and assemble greater than 100 jobs.
The province says Mitsui is the one corporate in Canada that creates motor core portions for electrical and hybrid cars.
Ford says the province is making an investment $3.1 million for the growth.
The funding is the original within the province’s push to turn out to be a pace-setter in electrical car production.
Mitsui Top-tec opened its first Canadian manufacturing facility in April 2017, with plans of growth. The preliminary plant in Brantford value $38 million.
