Hyundai unveiled the first generation hybrid Sonata in 2010, with a 2011 market introduction. Hyundai will initially offer the Sonata Plug-in Hybrid in the ZEV states—California, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont—in 2015.
